Our Managing Director John first joined the elevator industry as an 18 year old elevator apprentice in the UK in 2002. Staying with his first company for 8 years, he rose from trainee apprentice to Repair Team Leader, with a speciality for executing Modernisation projects in all kinds of locations, ranging from 3 floor nursing homes to 22 floor nuclear power stations. Moving on to other companies to enhance his skills and career, he became an expert in all the fields of the elevator industry, maintenance, modernisation, new lift installation and eventually large project management.
It was his hunger for large project management that drove him to seek out the most challenging projects, and led him to the UAE in 2016. John worked for a local company at the beginning of his UAE journey, followed by a large semi-government organisation. This experience in the local market allowed him to grow and learn about the different cultures and ways of business in the GCC at an accelerated rate.
Following this he entered one of the world leading European elevator companies as national modernisation manager, and oversaw a huge array of different projects during the course of 5 years. During his discussions with customers, John realised the market was missing something very important, TRUST. This is where MILTEK LIFTS was born. A company with a vision to change the market and bring honesty and trust to the forefront of the business. Putting customers and their needs first.
